De Jong makes his return to the Barcelona squad nearly five months following an ankle injury.

Frenkie de Jong is set to return for Barcelona's Champions League encounter with Young Boys following a nearly five-month absence due to an ankle injury, as announced by coach Hansi Flick on Monday.

De Jong sustained the injury to his right ankle during the clasico against Real Madrid in April.

The Dutch midfielder was also unable to participate in the European Championship.

Flick expressed that De Jong's comeback is "excellent news" for the team, even if he only features for a brief period of five to ten minutes on Tuesday.
