Osasuna delivers a surprising defeat to Barcelona with a score of 4-2, preventing the team from equaling its club record for the best start to a season.
Bryan Zaragoza netted one goal and assisted another, propelling Osasuna to a remarkable 4-2 victory over Barcelona on Saturday, marking the first defeat for the Spanish league leaders.
The swift forward, currently on loan from Bayern Munich, provided a cross for Ante Budimir to score the opening goal in the 17th minute. Zaragoza then displayed impressive dribbling skills, maneuvering around goalkeeper Iñaki Peña to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 28th minute.
Barcelona featured three youth players, one of whom, Pau Víctor, managed to reduce the deficit for the visitors in the 53rd minute. However, Budimir was awarded a penalty, which he successfully converted in the 72nd minute, solidifying Osasuna's advantage. Abel Bretones added a fourth goal for Osasuna in the 85th minute, while substitute Lamine Yamal scored Barcelona's second goal.
Barcelona had achieved victories in the first seven rounds of the league. An eighth win would have matched a club record set in 2013. Additionally, Barcelona suffered a 2-1 defeat in their Champions League opener against Monaco last week.
