Pulisic, in excellent form, scores once more as Milan decisively defeats Lecce 3-0 in Serie A.
Christian Pulisic continued his impressive scoring streak as AC Milan secured a 3-0 victory over Lecce in the Italian league on Friday, netting three goals within a span of five minutes just before halftime.
The home team took the lead when Álvaro Morata scored with a deft header from a free kick delivered by Theo Hernandez in the 38th minute. Two minutes later, Hernandez received a pass from Rafael Leão and struck the ball into the top corner from a challenging angle, extending the lead. Pulisic then capped off the first half by scoring the third goal just before the break.
This marked Pulisic's fifth goal in seven matches this season, bringing his total of goals and assists since joining AC Milan in June of the previous year to 32, the highest in Serie A.
Milan's Davide Bartesaghi received a straight red card with ten minutes left in the match, but it was too late for Lecce to mount a comeback.
With this win, Milan now has 11 points, placing them joint top of the league alongside Torino, although Torino has a game in hand against Lazio on Sunday.
Lecce remains in the fourth position from the bottom in the 20-team league, having secured only one victory and accumulating five points from their first six matches.
