Tamim said whether he will play in the Champions Trophy

Tamim Iqbal suddenly retired from the national team. After that, he came back from retirement but was dramatically left out of the World Cup team. After that, the opener of the country was not seen in the red-green jersey. Tamim in discussion again. Discussions are going on whether to play in the upcoming Champions Trophy. The former captain of the national team spoke about the matter.

Tamim is currently busy commenting on the Bangladesh Test series in India. In an interview given to Sportster, a website about cricket, he said, 'The way I left was not pleasant at all. So if I come back again, I need to have a purpose. I am not someone who will come back just to play and play four or five matches. Does this make any sense? Everyone says, 'come back, we want you', but if I go back after playing five matches, will it do any good for Bangladesh cricket? If they come up with a concrete plan and we can discuss, then I can think about it.'

Talking about playing in the upcoming Champions Trophy, Tamim further said, 'Now, you are talking about the Champions Trophy, where you will have four to five ODIs and the West Indies have three. Basically, you're talking about six to seven games. From where I have moved and someone else has taken my role, I don't think it makes sense for me to come back for these few matches.'

"However, this is a different thing," he said. If they (BCB) tell me we want to win the Champions Trophy or at least we want to qualify for the semi-finals and maybe that will be the last tournament where three or four senior players will play. Whatever the difference is will play and BCB will fix it. This is how the proposal should come.
