The schedule of Bangladesh-Afghanistan ODI series is final
Bangladesh and Afghanistan were supposed to enter the field in the full series after the T20 World Cup. However, the cricket board of the two countries postponed the series due to busy schedules. Finally, the ODI series schedule of these two teams has been finalized. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed the matter in a circular on Sunday (September 29).
Bangladesh will play a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan next November. The matches will be held in the United Arab Emirates. These two teams will play the first match of the series on November 6. Then the second and third ODIs of the series will be held on November 9 and 11.
ACB said in its notification that both the boards have agreed to play only the ODI series, which will play an important role in the preparations of both the teams for the ICC Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in February next year.
Incidentally, Bangladesh is scheduled to go to the West Indies to play two Tests, three ODIs and a three-match T20I series in November-December. Before that tour, Bangladesh showed interest in playing the ODI series against Afghanistan. The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan in February next year. Bangladesh wanted to play the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan as a preparation.
