Indians dominate in The Hundred, Pakistanis fear not getting a team
The English news media BBC has claimed that Indian-owned teams are not considering Pakistani cricketers. Pakistani cricketers are worried about getting a team in The Hundred. Indian-owned teams are turning their backs on Pakistanis. Which is making cricket questionable.
The auction for The Hundred will be held next month. However, the league is embroiled in a new controversy. The English news media BBC has claimed that Indian-owned teams are not considering Pakistani cricketers.
The rudeness of cricket, a game of polite people, is also seen from time to time. The ban on Pakistanis in India's popular cricket league IPL is a big example of this. This time the same incident has happened with Bangladesh.
However, such discrimination is not limited to the IPL. As Indian franchises spread, the distance with Pakistani cricketers is increasing in many other leagues.
South Africa's franchise league SA T20 starts in 2023. So far, no Pakistani player has been seen in this tournament. Because all 6 franchises of this league are Indian-owned.
Meanwhile, the franchises owned by the UAE's ILT20 tournament have not taken any Pakistani players in the last four seasons. This time the same thing can be seen in England too.
In this context, the BBC reported that a senior ECB official had indicated to the agent that the IPL-related teams were not interested in Pakistani players.
However, an ECB spokesperson said, 'The Hundred welcomes players from all countries. This time, more than 1,000 cricketers from about 18 countries have registered, including 50 from Pakistan.'
