Piotr Zielinski netted a last-minute goal, leading Serie A leaders Inter Milan to a 3-2 victory over Juventus, thereby maintaining an eight-point lead over second-placed AC Milan on Saturday.

Juventus managed to equalize twice and overcame a red card, but ultimately succumbed in the 90th minute when Zielinski struck a low shot after receiving a pass from Yann Bisseck near the penalty area.

This loss caused Juventus to drop to fifth place, falling behind Roma, which has a superior goal difference and could ascend to third place if it secures a win against defending champions Napoli on Sunday.

In the first half, Juventus left back Andrea Cambiaso scored at both ends.

He unintentionally redirected Luis Henrique’s cross into his own net past goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio in the 17th minute, then connected with a right-wing cross from American midfielder Weston McKennie in the 26th minute.

Juve’s prospects were further diminished when defender Pierre Kalulu received a second yellow card late in the first half for fouling Alessandro Bastoni, who had just squandered a prime opportunity from close range.

Inter regained the lead in the 76th minute when forward Pio Esposito powerfully headed in a cross from Federico Dimarco from the left wing. Manuel Locatelli equalized from another McKennie cross in the 83rd minute, setting the stage for a tense conclusion.

Zielinski's goal ensured that Inter achieved their sixth consecutive victory overall.
Como suffers setback against Atalanta
Como’s aspirations for Champions League qualification were hindered by a defeat to visiting Fiorentina.

Nicolo Fagioli and Moise Kean scored in a 2-1 victory for Fiorentina at Como’s Guiseppe Sinigaglia stadium.

The situation worsened for Como as their Champions League rival Atalanta triumphed 2-0 at Lazio, moving one point ahead into sixth place, thanks to a penalty from midfielder Ederson in the 41st minute and a second-half goal from Poland’s Nicola Zalewski.

Como’s defeat followed their advancement to the semifinals of the Coppa Italia for the first time in 40 years, achieved by defeating Italian champions Napoli.
An impressive campaign could yet see it secure a place in next season’s Champions League, but the loss to relegation-fighting Fiorentina was a setback.

Fagioli put Como ahead in the 26th from close range after his first effort was blocked. Kean scored from the penalty spot nine minutes into the second half.

Como created a number of chances as it tried to get back into the game and the pressure told when Fabiano Parisi fired into his own net in the 77th. But it couldn’t find an equalizer and ended the game with 10 men when Alvaro Morata was sent off in the 89th.

On Friday, Luka Modrić scored a late winner for AC Milan to beat Pisa 2-1.
