Kylian Mbappé is anticipated to be absent from his inaugural significant domestic match since his transfer to Real Madrid, as the defending champions face Atletico Madrid in La Liga on Sunday without their injured forward.

The club announced this week that Mbappé will be out of action for an indeterminate duration due to a hamstring injury. This setback occurred shortly after the French international netted his seventh goal of the season for Madrid in a victory against Alavés.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will need to decide how to compensate for the absence of the club's most high-profile signing since Cristiano Ronaldo over ten years ago. The Italian coach may choose to retain his three-pronged attack by granting fellow newcomer Endrick his first starting opportunity.

The dynamic 18-year-old has already made an impression, scoring two goals in limited appearances as a late substitute, totaling just 47 minutes on the pitch. Endrick could potentially partner with fellow Brazilians Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo.
