UEFA has imposed a ban on Barcelona from selling tickets to its supporters for the upcoming away match in the Champions League due to the display of a banner with Nazi connotations regarding the club's new German coach.

During a recent 2-1 defeat against Monaco, a black flag bearing the phrase “Flick Heil” was exhibited in what appeared to be a tribute to coach Hansi Flick.

UEFA has charged the club with “racism and/or other discriminatory conduct,” and the disciplinary measure will take effect on November 6, when Barcelona is scheduled to face Red Star Belgrade.

This prohibition on ticket sales is a continuation of a probationary sanction that UEFA had previously imposed on Barcelona last season. In April, fans were observed making Nazi salutes during a Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Additionally, UEFA's disciplinary panel has fined Barcelona 10,000 euros (approximately $11,000) and has instituted a new probationary sanction for any future infractions within the next year. This will result in another ticket sales ban for one away match in a European competition.
