Shamim only reduced the margin of defeat with a stormy batting performance

Shamim Hossain Patwari fought alone like a 'lonely Sherpa'. He did not find a partner who could keep up with him. Occasionally, he would help Chittagong Kings win the match by hitting fours and sixes. The result of not having that partner was Chittagong's loss to Khulna Tigers by 37 runs. The loss could have been a big margin. Shamim did not let it happen. Although he could not bring victory to the team that lost 6 wickets for 56 runs, he stood at the crease with his chest up. Hasan Mahmud-Abu Haider kept hitting fours and sixes one after another on the Ronids. When he was out as the 9th batter, he had a brilliant innings of 78 runs next to his name. He decorated the innings with a strike rate of 205.26 with 7 fours and 5 sixes. Shamim was accompanied by Alish Al Islam for the ninth wicket to play a brilliant innings. The two added 77 runs together. Of which 69 runs were by Shamim.

Naeem Islam was out on the first ball while chasing 204 runs in Mirpur. But he survived because Oshan Thomas' ball was no. The Bangladeshi batter could not take the innings far after getting such an opportunity. He stopped at 12 runs. Later, he was also out on Thomas' ball. Another opener Parvez Hossain Emon also quickly returned to the path shown by him, Emon had a chance to atone for his mistake with the bat. But he could not do it. During the Khulna Tigers' batting innings, he gave life to Mahidul Islam Ankon. After receiving that life, the wicketkeeper-batter scored the fastest fifty in the BPL among Bangladeshi batters.

Although he gave life to Ankon, who set a record of fifty in 18 balls, the Khulna wicketkeeper did not give life to Emon. The catch that Emon (13) gave behind the wicket off the ball of teammate Abu Haider Roni was easily caught by Ankon. Chittagong confirmed their defeat by losing wickets one after the other after the two openers.

Earlier, Khulna scored 203 runs for 4 wickets with the fifties of William Basisto and Ankan. However, there was a doubt whether they could have scored 170 runs at one time. Because they lost 4 wickets for 117 runs. The over was running at 14.2. From there, Ankan removed all the doubts with a brilliant innings.

Ankan scored 59 runs after getting life three times in the match. He hit 6 sixes against one four in an innings with a strike rate of 268.18. Before his cameo innings, however, Basisto, who played an unbeaten innings of 75 runs, took the lead for Khulna. Together, the two also put on a devastating partnership of 86 runs for the fifth wicket off 35 balls.
