Ancelotti expresses his discontent regarding Real's inconsistent performance during the match against Valencia.

Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed his admiration for his team's remarkable 2-1 comeback victory against Valencia on Friday, while also criticizing their performance in the first half. He emphasized that his team cannot exhibit "two sides." Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham scored crucial late goals at the Mestalla stadium, overcoming a one-goal deficit after Hugo Duro's early strike and playing with ten men following Vinicius Jr.'s dismissal in the 79th minute. "It is challenging to articulate how poor we were in the first half and how exceptional we became in the second, even with a man down," Ancelotti remarked to the media.

"We deserved to secure all three points, but we cannot display such contrasting performances. We were tremendously poor in the first half and remarkably good in the second with ten players." Bellingham clinched the victory in the 97th minute, despite having missed a penalty earlier in the second half. While Ancelotti commended the England international for his resilience, he also raised concerns about the team's recent penalty struggles, having missed three of their last four attempts, including two by Kylian Mbappe. "It troubles me that we have missed three penalties; I believe I must take responsibility for selecting the penalty takers," he stated.

"Bellingham maintained his confidence after the missed penalty, which fueled his motivation. His performance in the last 30 minutes was exceptional, showcasing his extraordinary effort." The Italian coach further noted that the club intends to appeal Vinicius' red card, which was issued for slapping Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski. "We believe it was not a red card... However, the team responded well to this challenge. We will appeal, though I am uncertain if it will be accepted," Ancelotti concluded.
