Big blow to England's Champions Trophy campaign

England have not had a good start to the ICC Champions Trophy. After losing to Australia in their first match, the team is now in a fight for survival. The England camp has suffered a major setback at such a crucial time. Pacer Brydon Curtis has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed the matter in a statement.

The ECB announced that Curtis will not be able to play for the rest of the tournament due to the injury. He will return to the country and undergo rehabilitation. However, it is not yet certain how long it will take for him to fully recover.

England, desperate to make it to the last four, has also quickly announced a replacement for Curtis. 20-year-old leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has been named in his place in the team. Rehan has taken 10 wickets in five ODIs for England so far.

Despite Josh English's brilliant century, Australia chased down the target of 352 in their first match of the tournament and won. England are in a difficult position in Group B after that defeat. England need to win against Afghanistan on Wednesday to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive. England will face South Africa in their final group match on March 1.
