Sourav Ganguly narrowly escapes accident

Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly narrowly escaped a major accident on Thursday. His car met with an accident on the Durgapur Expressway in Dantanpur area on his way to an event in Burdwan.
A lorry suddenly came in front of Ganguly's convoy, forcing the driver to slam on the brakes. As a result, the vehicles behind him hit his car one after another. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, but two vehicles in the convoy suffered minor damage. Ganguly had to wait on the road for about 10 minutes, after which he attended a scheduled event at Burdwan University.

Despite this uncomfortable incident, Ganguly continued with his schedule as normal. He met students and dignitaries, discussed the future of Indian cricket and shared various experiences from his cricketing career. Known for his calm nature and leadership qualities, Ganguly handled the incident naturally and discharged his professional duties.

Apart from his experience in cricket administration, Sourav Ganguly is currently playing an important role in women's cricket. In October 2024, he was appointed as the Director of Cricket at JSW Sports. In this position, he oversees all cricket activities, including the activities of the Delhi Capitals women's team.
