Bangladesh know their opponents in the Women's Asian Cup qualifiers

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group C of the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers alongside Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan. The group was determined through a draw held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today.

The 34 teams have been divided into six groups of four and two groups of five. The qualifiers will be held in Cambodia, Indonesia, Jordan, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

This is going to be a tough challenge for Bangladesh. Bangladesh is lagging behind the other teams in the group in the FIFA rankings. Bangladesh, ranked 133rd, is ahead only of Turkmenistan (141st). Myanmar is the best team in the group with a ranking of 55th, while Bahrain is in 92nd place.

Group A will feature Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Singapore and Bhutan. Group B includes Thailand, India, Mongolia, Timor-Leste and Iraq.

Group D includes Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Kyrgyz Republic and Pakistan. Group E includes Vietnam, Guam, United Arab Emirates and Maldives.

Group F includes Uzbekistan, Nepal, Laos and Sri Lanka. Group G includes Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia. Group H includes North Korea, Malaysia, Palestine and Tajikistan.

Qualifying matches will be held from 23 June to 5 July. The top teams from the eight groups will advance to the finals, where they will play defending champions China, South Korea and Japan. The main tournament will be held in three cities from 1 to 26 March 2026.
