Iran secures 2026 World Cup ticket
Japan became the first Asian country to secure a ticket to the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada. After that, Iran from Asia secured a ticket to the next World Cup with 48 teams.
In addition to Japan and Iran, New Zealand has also been confirmed for the World Cup. The island nation is the second team to secure a place in the World Cup from the qualifiers.
Argentina won 4-1 against Brazil on Wednesday. However, Argentina's World Cup ticket was confirmed before that victory. Argentina's World Cup game was confirmed on Tuesday night after Bolivia and Uruguay drew.
These four countries, namely Japan, Iran, Argentina and New Zealand, have been confirmed to play in the World Cup from the qualifiers. The United States, Canada and Mexico will play the World Cup as hosts. In total, seven teams have been confirmed to play in the next World Cup.
