Tentative Schedule Unveiled for Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I Series
The tentative schedule for the upcoming five-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been revealed, with the series kicking off in Faisalabad and concluding in Lahore.
According to sources, the Bangladesh squad is expected to arrive in Pakistan on 21 May. The first two T20Is will be held at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on 25 and 27 May, respectively. The remaining three matches will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on 30 May, 1 June, and 3 June.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shortlisted five players as potential selections for the series. The list includes experienced players Sahibzada Farhan, Hussain Talat, Hasan Ali, and Faheem Ashraf, along with emerging fast bowler Ali Raza.
Historically, Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced off 19 times in T20 internationals, with Pakistan dominating the head-to-head record with 16 wins to Bangladesh’s 3. Their most recent encounter was during the 2022–23 tri-nation series in New Zealand, where Pakistan emerged victorious.
The PCB is expected to announce the final squad and official match timings in the coming days.
