The Tennessee Titans selected University of Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday.
Titans fans in attendance at the draft in Green Bay erupted in cheers as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Ward’s name first, just as many had anticipated. After three consecutive losing seasons, those fans are now looking to the Heisman finalist to help turn the franchise’s fortunes around.
