Zinedine Zidane is set to return as head coach of Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane is set to return as head coach of Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane has won a bunch of titles for Real Madrid twice as a coach. Real Madrid can bring that Zidane as their coach once again, according to Spanish media. However, Zidane is not in this list as Plan 'A', but as Plan 'B', according to Spanish media Tribune.

Discussions are underway about who will be seen as Real's coach from the 2025-26 season. Current coach Carlo Ancelotti will leave the club at the end of the season. Although nothing has been officially announced, everyone within the Real Madrid team knows that Ancelotti is going to become the coach of the Brazilian national team.

Discussions are ongoing about who will come after his departure. Xabi Alonso and Jurgen Klopp are among the top candidates. Alonso, who has managed Bayer Leverkusen excellently, does not want to leave his project right now. On the other hand, Klopp has said that he wants to take a break from coaching for a few days. Amidst this uncertainty, Zidane is being considered as a possible alternative for Real Madrid.

When Zidane left Real in 2021, he was annoyed by the intense media pressure. However, sources close to him in France say that he is now interested in returning to Real.

Zidane wants to coach the French national team in the future. He is interested in taking that responsibility after the 2026 World Cup. However, if Real Madrid offers him back, then he may postpone his plans to take charge of France a little.

A source close to France said, ‘If Real Madrid calls Zidane again, then he may delay his plans to become France coach a little.’

Zidane has coached Real twice before. He has won the club three Champions League titles. Whether Real’s most successful coach returns or the most successful club in Europe is now a matter of concern.
