Emirates has agreed to play an additional match against Liton's team following the BCB's proposal.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had proposed to organize an additional T20 match against the United Arab Emirates. The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has responded positively to that proposal. As a result, the two teams will play one additional match apart from the two matches in the main schedule.
Bangladesh will tour Pakistan after the end of the Emirates series. Due to the recent good relations with Pakistan, both governments want the cricket tour to happen. Therefore, in addition to providing VVIP security to the players, the BCB has been given the freedom to decide on the match schedule.
Two possible schedules have been received from the PCB - the first is a proposal to play five matches from May 27 to June 3 to facilitate the celebration of Eid al-Adha. The first two matches will be played in Faisalabad on May 27 and 28. The remaining three matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 31 and June 1 and 3. The second proposal is to play the third match in Faisalabad on May 27 and 28, the fourth and fifth matches in Lahore on June 31 and 1 and 4.
Cricketers believe that playing five matches in eight days will put too much strain on their bodies. However, inside information is that the players want to return home at least three days before Eid. In that case, if the PCB agrees, the BCB may offer to reduce the five-match series to four matches. The last thing is whether the ECB is willing to play the third T20 match. If they do not agree, the Litons will have to return home and take a break and go to Pakistan. That will increase the cost of the tour.
