Mehedi Hasan Miraj had a great series against Zimbabwe. He got the result of his great performance in the two-Test series this time. He has become the best cricketer of April in the eyes of the ICC.

This is the first Massera award in Miraj's career. In total, he is the third Bangladeshi to win this award. Before him, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim won this award.

He was in great form against Zimbabwe last month. He also set several records. Shakib Al Hasan was the only Bangladeshi to touch the double of 2000 runs and 200 wickets until this series. He became the second Bangladeshi to achieve this feat by taking 116 runs and 15 wickets in this series. Shakib achieved this feat in 54 matches, while Miraj achieved it in 53 matches. As a result, he also took the record into his own hands.

Earlier, he took 10 wickets in the Sylhet Test and achieved the feat of taking ten wickets in a match for the third time, a feat that no Bangladeshi has ever achieved. A century in the next Test gave him a rare record. The feat of taking 10 wickets in one match of a series and a century in another match had been seen 6 times before, Miraj became the seventh cricketer to achieve this feat.

After all such records, it would have been unfair to Miraj if he was not awarded the best of the month. That didn't happen in the end. Miraj deservedly won the ICC Cricketer of the Month award for April.
