Shakib chases big runs in qualifiers

In the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the team of Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Miraz and Rishad Hossain, Lahore Qalandars, won the Eliminator match by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare in Thursday night's match. They sent Karachi Kings away.


Although Lahore's team has three Bangladeshi cricketers, only Shakib Al Hasan found a place in the playing eleven. He took 1 wicket for 4 runs in the first over with the ball. But Lahore did not bowl to the experienced Shakib again. He did not have to come out to bat.

Karachi batted first and scored 190 runs for 8 wickets. The team's captain and opener David Warner played a brilliant innings of 75 runs off 52 balls. His batting included eight fours and three sixes. Khushdil Shah added 27 runs off 14 balls.

In reply, Lahore opener Fakhar Zaman played an innings of 47 runs off 28 balls. He hit five fours and three sixes. Abdullah Shafiq, who got out for three, played a top score of 65 runs. His 35-ball innings included five sixes and three fours.

Kusal Perera also scored 30 off 24 balls and Bhanuka Rajapaksa scored 23 off 12 balls. Haris Rauf took 3 wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs for Lahore. Lahore will face Islamabad in the final tonight at 8:30 PM Bangladesh time. Quetta Gladiators have already qualified for the final.
