First-ever Women's BPL Players Draft to be held on March 14

The Women's BPL Players Draft is going to be held for the first time. The draft will be held on March 14 and three teams will participate in it.


The players have been divided into five categories:

Icon Category: Three national team cricketers – Nigar Sultana, Nahida Akhtar and Sobhana Mostari; Salary 10 lakh taka

'A' Category: 6 players; Salary 7 lakh taka

'B' Category: 12 players; Salary 5 lakh taka

'C' Category: 20 players; Salary 3 lakh taka

'D' Category: Rest of the players; Salary 1.5 lakh taka

Foreign cricketers will also be taken in the draft based on interest, but the number of foreign players has not been finalized yet.

The matches will be held at two venues: Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. Bir Shrestha Matiur Rahman Stadium, Chittagong.
