The council made the announcement in a formal announcement on Thursday (January 2). The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) had sought a 25-year lease of the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong to build an international-standard football complex. After this application, the Youth and Sports Advisor had said a few days ago that the stadium was being allocated to football for 10 years. However, the BFF had been trying to get the stadium for 25 years only. Finally, the stadium owner, the National Sports Council, has taken the final decision to lease the MA Aziz Stadium to the BFF for 25 years.
